I bought the bread sticks in the photo above, and thought why have I bothered even buying these, I have nothing to dip them into. It turns out it’s not hard to make hummus and it’s really quick too, so why not give it a go!
Ingredients
- 400g tin of chickpeas (plus half the liquid the chickpeas are in, you can throw the rest away)
- 2 tsp of tahini paste
- 1 clove of garlic (not going to lie, couldn’t taste this, maybe go ahead and add some more)
- Juice of half a lemon
- Paprika and parsley for decoration and colour
- 3 tbsp of olive oil
- 1/2 tsp of salt
Method
- First of all, take a few chickpeas out if you’re going for the arty decor at the end
- Then literally throw everything into the blender, except the decorative spices and herbs and blend until smooth
- Decorate with a sprinkle of paprika and parsley and the few chickpeas you saved from getting crushed on top
- Enjoy with your mini gluten-free bread sticks and a beer, you deserve it, that was hard work

on A simple hummus recipe.
Ooh this looks really good! Never tried adding parsley to hummus. I always add to garlic gloves 🙂
