I was unbelievably excited to have lunch at my first, completely gluten-free restaurant this lunchtime. The restaurant called Jam, is based pretty much in the centre of Liverpool, on Sir Thomas Street, (right by the buses).
I first saw the restaurant featured on the Independent Liverpool site, after a colleague forwarded me the link, and I was already planning my visit. Along with my work friend (also gluten-free), and Google Maps, we arrived at Jam before the lunchtime rush. It took us an age to even narrow down a few choices AND I asked the waitress at least three times to confirm that everything was gluten-free, which she did with a smile each time.
My friend, Miriam, ordered Hang Over Hash of Chorizo and Black Pudding, and I ordered the Eggs Florentine. The food was delicious, and the service was so smiley, polite and knowledgeable. I’m definitely going back for seconds, and soon!
