NEW ‘Dough It Yourself’ Pizza at Ocado

SO excited to share the new ‘Dough It Yourself’ gluten-free pizza kit available in Ocado.

The brand has spent a year creating these gluten-free thin-crust pizza bases. I was surprised how little they needed cooking – only 5-6 minutes! With the gluten-free pizzas I’ve tried before – mainly frozen pizzas – I’ve had to always keep them in the oven longer so it wasn’t soggy in the middle. I’m actually not a very big pizza lover, but since diagnosis, you always want what you can’t have, so I’ve tried a variety of pizzas but they’re all a bit underwhelming.

*ENTER ‘DOUGH IT YOURSELF’*

Although the ‘Dough It Yourself’ crust (love the name!) does still have that gluten-free texture, obviously, the sauces are so fresh that it almost takes that familiar taste away. I was sent the Romana sauce and the Vesuvio sauce. The Romana was more of a classic pizza-tomato taste and the Vesuvio had a really nice but subtle spicy kick to it.

If you’ve been searching for a fresh and simple pizza, give them a try! The ‘Dough It Yourself’ gluten-free pizza bases are £5.00 for two. You can select from four different sauces which are available from www.pizzabase.org for £1.50 each:

  • Bianca
  • Vesuvio
  • Romana
  • Diablo

If you try them out – let me know what you think in the comments below!
