The smell of fresh bread has always been enticing to me. And before I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, I didn’t actually eat a lot of bread. But I want what I can’t have, apparently. So, I initially set out in search of a really simple, tasty, gluten-free bread mix.
Even though the Mrs Crimble’s Homemade Bread Mix came close to first place, I found Helen’s Gluten Free Brilliant Bread Mix was the clear winner. And no, it’s not my own recipe, it belongs to another Helen!
With this bread mix, there’s no need to add yeast, all you have to add is egg, milk and oil, and hey presto, it’s ready to bake.
If I must say so myself, that is the most professional-looking loaf I’ve ever made!
We sliced the bread, softened butter, added garlic and poured over the bread. A very easy, and tasty lazy Sunday snack.
